Thank You, St. Peter’s
In the spring of 2026, the members of St. Peter's made three-year pledges to build a new education wing. Together with certificates of deposit given to the congregation and gifts to the building fund, the campaign raised more than $1.1 million.
On May 31, 2026, the voters decided to go ahead.
We are now in the three-year fulfillment phase, fulfilling those pledges from June 2026 through June 2029.
Why We’re Building
St. Peter's has taught children the faith since the 1800s, first in its own school and, since 2019, in Sunday School and confirmation. Those classes still meet in the old school building, which can no longer serve them well. The new wing gives children, teenagers and adults a place to learn for years to come.
Where the Project Stands
The voters set a budget of $1 million and asked the building committee to design within it. The committee has chosen a concept for a new addition, and the builder is pricing a few different floor plans now. The voters will approve the final plan before construction begins. We hope to break ground in 2027.
The pledges and money the congregation had already set aside pay for the project, so there is no long-term mortgage. We will post the plans here when the voters approve them.
